Purpose Statement
To develop and maintain a feasible plan for hiring, training and management of personnel and to ensure quality issues, process and material flows are operated efficiently. Through his or her management style, the Supervisor actively demonstrates and propagates the core values of BSC. He or she is a strong team player and demonstrates this through the integration of key goals with appropriate other functions (e.g. Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Finance, R&D, HR etc.).
About the role:
Six Sigma Senior engineer provides the BSC Penang site with technical skill-sets to enable problem solving and process improvement and available to support adoption and methodology advancement to sustain Six Sigma within a site both from a technical and business perspective.
Your responsibilities include:
Be the site Six Sigma champion and drive the adoption of Lean Six Sigma culture on all levels in the organization.
Define a strategic roadmap to integrate Problem solving and Process Improvement with day to day that drive core competence & results.
Assist the Site Leadership Team with communication of Six Sigma status and metrics throughout the site, act as a strong advocate for problem solving and process improvement roadmap and tools.
Assist with sharing and deploying Lean Six Sigma best practices within the site and across other BSC sites. Contribute to the maintenance, advancement, and implementation of improvements to key systems & structures supporting Six Sigma.
Coach and mentor cross functional teams in using various techniques (e.g., Kaizen, Visual management) on problem solving and process improvement projects
Assist with problem solving and process improvement project roadmap and tools selection. Assess and provide technical leadership in functions and areas for high-level/complex project opportunities.
Provide management with competency assessment skills necessary to review technical staff. Participate and coach management to become self sufficient in competency assessment. Work with other peers from other sites to ensure consistency of the competency assessment process, work on the implementation and continuous improvement of the competency assessment process.
Demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality.
Understand & comply with the regulations governing the quality system.
Requirements:
Minimum 6 to 8 years related work experience; More than 3 years experience in the field of medical devices is an advantage.
Minimum Bachelor\'s degree in engineering related field.
Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt professional
General knowledge of other related disciplines, business unit function and cross group dependencies/relationships.
Knowledge in Minitab statistical software to perform analyzes
Experience in coaching and guiding teams
Excellent leadership and communications skills.
Strong analytical and leadership skills
Ability to influence all levels of the BSC organization
