A retail company in Malaysia is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, with experience in software engineering or DevOps roles. This role has flexible working arrangements in which you can arrange your own working location and time.Key Responsibilities\xe2\x80\x8dSystem Maintenance:Maintain and update backend systems developed in PHP using frameworks like Laravel.Ensure systems are current, secure, and optimized for performance.Identify and resolve technical issues promptly, providing both quick fixes and long-term solutions.Collaborate with external developers to address complex challenges.Infrastructure Management:Manage cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS), focusing on performance, cost efficiency, and security.Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect company assets.Ensure seamless communication between backend systems, mobile applications, web applications, and IoT devices.Operational Support:Respond to operational issues reported by the team, minimizing downtime.Assist in hardware maintenance and replacements as needed.Provide technical support to enhance overall operational efficiency.Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:Update and maintain technical documentation and knowledge bases.Ensure stakeholders have access to necessary information for updates and changes.Implement best practices for access management and version control.Technology Advancement:Stay informed about the latest technological trends, including modern frameworks and architectural approaches.Advise on approaches that make business sense, focusing on efficiency and customer experience.Avoid implementing unnecessary features that do not align with business objectives.RequirementsBachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering or DevOps roles.Strong experience with PHP and frameworks like Laravel.Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS.Experience with IoT integrations is a plus.#LI-JACMY
