Location: Petaling Jaya, MY, MY



Job Summary: Provide pre- and post-sales support to customers and prospects, including applications, method development, Paid sample analysis, consumables sales, Presentations at seminars and similar events, tender document specification compliance input, demonstrations and sales visits related to technology/specialty industry equipment. Required to coach and develop new Lab Engineers and set up a training program. Job Responsibilities:

• Support Senior applications specialist in managing day to day Laboratory operational matters
• Actively participating in the development of the new Laboratory Engineers
• Ensuring high complexity products are supported
• Ensuring the sales team engages each project jointly with applications for higher complexity products - ensuring proper demonstrations and method development is conducted
• Assist in on-boarding new clients (ie manufacturers)
• Research and analyze customer needs and suggest product features based on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
• Assist sales team in configuring the correct solutions for the customers \'
• Assist sales team in tender technical compliance support
• Study new products/technologies aligned with existing product lines to recommend enhancements or modifications
• Assist sales team on product demonstrations/technical presentations to customers or at conferences to promote products and services
• Provide pre-sales technical support through presentations and customer visits
• Run sample tests on instruments as and when needed (in-house or at customer sites)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing users
• Provide training to customers in post-sales and method development

• Degree or Masters in Science
• Extensive hands-on experience with Scientific and analytical Instruments will be considered
• Minimum three to five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role
• Demonstrate technical knowledge in scientific instruments with clear track record of past hands on experience.
• Demonstrate strong industry/market knowledge.
• Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Knowledge in analytical instrument and/or cold storage equipment is an added advantage.
