Objectives of the Position

Our unit GDD/CD OT Connectivity ensures reliable and secure development and implementation of services at the interface between IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operation Technology). In our capability IT4OT we consult on, develop and operate remote access and IT infrastructure platform services for BASF production and technology units.

In this role, you will take responsibility for technical development and operational support of our growing IT infrastructure services (such as remote access or device management).

Responsibilities and Key Outcomes

• As part of our global product team, you create technical solution designs with focus on back-end services and application / service integration
• You develop, implement, and maintain secure and reliable code for our services using agile ways of working and modern frameworks
• You cooperate closely with the global team as well as experts of our cross functional partner teams to ensure highly automated and efficient services
• Furthermore, you actively contribute to the overall development of our technical service platform

Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, informatics, engineering or in a comparable field
• Minimum of 3-5 years\' experience in software development or system integration

Technical & Professional Knowledge

• Very good skills in Python, API (e.g. REST-API) and other interfaces/scripting methods to develop new and existing solutions
• Hands-on experience in setting-up micro services and container-based solutions to automate and optimize processes e.g. user and application/configuration management, orchestration, service tasks etc.
• Good skills related to security compliance such as secure protocols, certificate handling, monitoring etc.
• Familiarity with remote access market solution and/or Windows/Linux device management and administration are a plus
• You are experienced with agile methods and tool set, as well development life cycle and code management tools
• You are a team player with the ability to work in a global and cross functional environment making use of your fluent communication skills in English
• You have an innovative and creative mindset and are keen on driving automatization and making things happen
