Role Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Statutory and Taxation Financial Analyst to join our Statutory and Taxation Center of Excellence (CoE) team for APAC and EMEA, reporting to the Statutory and Taxation Center of Excellence (CoE) Manager - APAC and EMEA, based in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. The primary objective of this role is to support the respective market Financial Controllers to ensure all entities within APAC and EMEA markets are compliant from a statutory, tax and reporting perspective within the specified deadlines and managing external audit and tax relationships. The incumbent must sustain a strong relationship with the Senior Leadership Stakeholders, Finance community and other parts of the Regional and Global business.
The Statutory & Tax COE is a new function in KL, therefore it is critical for this new team to be able to collaborate with the existing Controllers and functions that perform the tasks, as the work transitions into the KL COE. The COE will work closely with the Regional and market Controllership teams who are the operational focal point for many of the region\'s key statutory compliances such as controls over journals, balance sheet reconciliations and review mechanisms. In addition, this COE will be required to work with the other support functions across GFS and markets to complete the statutory and tax reporting requirements of the region(s).
It is an exciting opportunity to be among the first in Experian to work on the opportunity for standardisation and enhanced operating model for a critical function in statutory reporting. Therefore, GAAP and IFRS skills are critical, in addition to understanding how to work with our auditors through detailed planning, execution and collaboration across many teams for a successful timely closure of all statutory and tax reporting.
