Description Collaborate and provide administrative support for Group\'s enterprise storage and data protection devices and related components which includes monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, incident resolution, installation and patch deployment to deliver smooth IT operation and assist Section Head, Storage and Data Protection Services to plan and manage the day-to-day BAU operations and Group\'s projects and initiatives effectively. 1) Administer Group\'s enterprise SAN storage and data protection services infrastructure encompassing SAN/NAS storage subsystems, SAN switches, object storage, tape libraries, backup appliances and enterprise backup software to attain 24 x 7 x 365 system availability and safe guard Group\'s data. 2) Provides 24x7 on-call support as part of rotating team coverage to address and fix system anomalies escalated by operations and end users. 3) Collaborate with section head in defining new hardware architecture, design, implementation and support of storage and backup environment to attain operation efficiency, cost effectiveness, resiliency and scalability. 4) Conform to established storage and backup checklists, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Change Management and bank\'s policies and procedures for daily operation and support tasks for standardization and ease of management. 5) Perform disaster recovery and BCP planning and testing as required to comply regulatory requirements and to meet defined RTO and RPO. 6) Manage, collaborate and implement Group\'s storage and backup related projects/initiatives which is small to medium scale to achieve operational efficiency and cost effectiveness across all deployments. 7) Investigate and troubleshoot storage/backup related incidents/problems, system outages, system degradation promptly and review impact of supported systems to provide resolution within defined SLA. 8) Perform periodic capacity planning, observe trending and configuration management (asset management) for storage/backup components in accordance to (ITSM ITIL) framework. 9) Attain and adopt technologies and skills on new storage and backup solutions to ensure bank\'s storage environment is up to date with industry standard capabilities. 10) Negotiate and coordinate with vendors on hardware replacement initiated during technology refresh/upgrades to align with Group Technology Services strategy and industry trends. 11) Maintain documents for storage and data protection team to ensure quality and precise documentation relating to storage/backup infrastructure topology, procedures, architecture and inventory. 12) Able to perform data/system migration relating to storage and backup to address Group IT obsolescence guidelines. 13) Setup, customize, install, monitor, tune, maintain and support new system deployments, upgrades and engineered system in accordance to Group\'s strategy/governance, to meet targeted live date, SLA and data being protected on system live date. 14) Perform hardening for storage/backup systems and promptly apply vendor-supplied patches and fixes to ensure the security, reliability and stable operation of Group\'s storage and data protection systems and related components. 15) Perform periodic user ID access management review to ensure compliance to Group IT Security guidelines and protect stored data from unauthorized access or data breaches. 16) Able to support, configure and enhance the storage and backup infrastructure cyber resiliency towards malicious attack by internal or external party. 17) Test and validate backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability. 18) Monitor SAN, NAS and backup performance, identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize throughput and responsiveness. Conduct regular performance assessments and recommended enhancements. 19) Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by supervisor. Requirements Requirements: Formal Education: Candidate must possess minimum, Bachelor\'s Degree, Professional Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience. Professional Accreditation: . ITIL V3 Foundation Certified preferred. . Enterprise Storage related certification is preferred. . Proven experience in enterprise SAN and Backup administration. Required level of experience (by years/function/industry): . Minimum 6 years\' experience in supporting and operating large enterprise class storage/backup environment. . Vast and advance administration/support knowledge of Dell EMC Unity, PowerMAX, ECS, Powerstore, Data Domain, PPDM & IDPA), IBM V7000, HPE (Nimble and Primera) storage family, Pure Storage/FlashBlade, Veritas NetBackup, Cohesity, Brocade SAN Switch/DCX, Oracle Tape library, Oracle ZFS Storage, Hitachi SAN Storage, Red Hat Linux, Solaris and Windows OS. . Profound knowledge and vast experience in IT Infra operations and IT infra Project delivery in accordance to ITIL and BNM RMIT framework. Other skills required: . Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic IT operation environment. . Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. . Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain good relationship with all levels across the bank.
