Position: Senior System Architect - Pega
Position Description:
Upgrade Pega 7.1.9 code to Pega 8.x in Pega Cloud as part of migrating from on-premise and modernizing Finance operations applications.
Overall:
Implement upgrade checklist and conventions.
Take ownership of tasks; keep good records of progress and issues.
Address technical debt.
Adopt common components.
Adopt updated business data designs.
Write business data upgrade routines.
Backfill code documentation.
Automation:
Replace Agents with Queue Processors and Scheduled Jobs
UI:
Adopt Cosmos or React UI
Convert Dynamic layouts to Design Templates.
Custom style elimination.
Skin augmentation.
Data Pages:
Upgrade and modernize loaders.
Implement REST integration where needed.
Identify opportunities for auto-loaded properties.
Activities:
Eliminate all possible.
Enhance error handling.
Eliminate Java steps.
General Quality:
Remediate all Guardrail warnings.
Unit tests + wise refactoring.
Test, test, test.
