About the role

• Continually identify and consolidate RDDOQ training needs analysis, to define and prioritise technical training requirements and development needs; including new and novel areas as Dyson moves into new categories and product types
• Work with senior stakeholders and functional leaders across RDDOQ to gather requirements for the creation of new training content aligned to current and future business requirements.
• Develop and enable Skill Matrix and Assessment methodology to gather team and individual competency data as input to perform Skill Gap Analysis.
• Develop close links between MY, PH and UK technical learning and development team members to align all training initiatives to ensure common global working practices and standards of work.
• Liaise with industry experts and organize workshops and classroom-style training and tailor the training methodology to the needs of the training content and users, digital methods, instructor led training or hybrid, across all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced)
• Guide and develop effective and interactive internal technical course contents using potential various learning tools, methods, and platforms.
• Lead, manage and develop the team; run skill assessment which is used to conduct individual and team skills gap analysis and individual development goals.
• Prepare and review yearly global training budget allocation and breakdown for each site (MY, PH, and UK).
• Understand and comply to the local government obligations such as HRDC with Malaysian government and equivalent where relevant.

About you

• Bachelor\'s Degree in engineering / Industrial / Product Design or equivalent
• At least 4 years\' experience in an engineering or design role, well-versed in designing skill particularly in CAD & Robust Design
• Previous experience of delivering training is desirable but not essential
• Knowledge of the local government obligations such as HRDC with Malaysian government and equivalent where relevant.
• Experience in developing technical course content both for novices and experts with relevant technologies.
• Knowledgeable in tools and techniques used throughout the product development process which may include some of the following: Tolerance Analysis, FMEA, DFA, DFM, CAE, 3D CAD & PLM
• Excellent presentation/facilitation skills and the ability to communicate internationally are essential
• Knowledge of web-based learning platforms and modern educational techniques and tools such as Articulate 360, CAMTASIA, Cornerstone, LinkedIn Learning.
• Extensive experience in both manufacturing and business environments, proven working relationship with internal customers and external vendors
• Good knowledge and understand in different types of professional registration process such as ImechE, IET, BEM, MBOT and equivalent where relevant
