Your Impact:

We are looking for a Principal Transport Modeller to join our growing team based in Malaysia and Philippines. You will lead and manage transport modelling projects, provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate staff, lead the research and data analysis, and deliver high-quality technical reports and recommendations to clients. You will also work as part of a team providing evidence-based analysis to support policy and strategy development, appraisal and business case for transport investments, development planning and scheme feasibility and design.

• Previous experience of leading transport modelling studies
• Highly proficient or expert in at least one of the transport modelling software packages: EMME, VISSIM
• Highly numerate with excellent data analysis skills. Competency in data analysis packages, such as Excel/Access.
• Good technical report writing and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex modelling results to clients and stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Occasional travel within Asia may be required.

In this position you will build relationships to support business development, develop Jacobs\xe2\x80\x99 worldwide transportation planning and analysis practice, and support colleagues through mentorship and skill sharing opportunities.

You will have the following ;

• A Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering majoring in transport planning, engineering, mathematics, town planning or relevant subjects
• Demonstrated experience working on transportation projects, large, medium and small
• Project Management experience including understanding of project commercial and contractual risks
• Experience with one or more transportation modeling software packages and programming languages such as Cube or VISUM, the use of GIS software such as Mapinfo. ArcGIS or QGIS and computer programming (e.g. Python, VBA, SQL
• Experience in undertaking cost-benefit analysis or economic appraisal of transport investments.
• Client facing and Presentation skills
