About the role

As a Senior Treasury Accountant you will actively manages Treasury & Insurance risks that may adversely impact company\'s financial performance hence the role would actively work in the areas of Treasury & Insurance risk management. In addition, you are expected to produce management reports for APMEA Region.

Work Location: 1 Power House ( Bandar Utama)

Reporting to: APAC Treasury Manager

Key responsibilities

  • Treasury Risk Management (70%)
  • Managing FX Exposure and coverage related reports for FX Position review and analyzing the variance if any.
  • Provide support to business partners to ensure timely reporting of FX exposure from Commercial/Business perspective.
  • Provide accurate Treasury month end related information for management reporting and GL posting purposes.
  • Responsible for cash flow allocation and planning for APMEA Region, including initiating fund transfer and timely settlement of FX contract.
  • Supporting Regional Treasury Manager for funding and defunding of the countries as and when required
  • Liaise with respective stakeholders for matters relating to risk management and to ensure that there is adequate cover in place for currency risk accordingly to Kerry Foreign exchange policy.
  • Responsible for supporting the Regional Treasury Manager to communicate the insurance principle to key stakeholders (example -Country compliance controllers, Commercial finance team etc.)
  • Responsible for supporting the Regional Treasury Manager to communicate the Group insurance renewal process and timeline for yearly renewal
  • Responsible for Liaising with the country controllers to ensure that the yearly insurance questionnaire is completed on time
  • Supporting Group Insurance team for any ad hoc request (For example user access for insurance portal etc.)
  • Responsible for tracking any material changes in the site and supporting the Regional Treasury Manager to communicate to the brokers.
  • Responsible for tracking and communicating (as required) for liaising the Health & Safety team so that the key improvements that are highlighted in the Insurer\'s risk & engineering report are completed
  • Supporting the Regional Treasury Manager for Insurance claims process for the region.
  • Liaise with respective stakeholders for matters relating to Insurance Management.
  • Operational Banking & Other Treasury Areas (5%)
  • Back up support in managing idle fund and excess cash for APMEA Region.
  • Back up support in managing ICO borrowing and external borrowing including overdraft and loan.
  • Back up support in managing local online banking system such as non-core bank system as to comply with Group policy and direction.
  • Other Treasury Areas (10%)
  • Involve in process improvement/ process re-engineering for matter relating to SAP treasury Module and other treasury related processes.
  • Ad-hoc project for matter relating treasury System or Processes
  • Responsible to be the first point of contact for Treasury activities for the countries assigned and to develop the treasury related knowledge for those countries
  • Responsible for completing relevant areas & supporting the monthly review meeting with Group treasury and Regional Finance Director.
Qualifications and skills
  • Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent; professional accounting qualifications will be a plus
  • Minimum 3 years\' experience in financial accounting and/or Treasury related experience
  • SAP experience is a preferable with advanced MS Excel skills
  • Good technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills and attention to detail
Competencies Required:
  • Prior experience in financial accounting/Treasury or reporting role or shared services environment will be an advantage
  • Mandatory to speak, write and read English and multilingual skills will be an advantage
  • Ability to travel to different countries as and when required for Treasury & Banking related meeting &projects
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines and display initiative in a fast-track environment
