Objectives of the Position
The digital identity is an important element in digitalization to enter new business areas. Thus, the central protection and management of digital identities is key to provide easy and secure access to BASF\'s business applications.
Besides global services such as identity governance, authentication, and authorization, we have interfaces to the most critical applications and services of the BASF group. This makes us a core component in BASF\xe2\x80\x99s IT landscape to ensure the right balance between security, compliance, and user convenience.
To achieve this, we collaborate closely together within our agile DevOps team as well as with our internal business partners. Your role is to manage and develop the underlying identity & access management (IAM) platform to provide best solutions for over 180.000 digital identities and over 1.900 business applications.
Main Tasks
Understand business and technical requirements to design IAM solutions in a complex and hybrid IT environment (on-premises and cloud)- Build, operate and further develop our identity & management platform based on the One Identity Manager
- Analyze, evaluate, and document new requirements in close alignment with business and technical teams across the globe
- Implement new requirements on the platform on your own or if required in collaboration with external developers
- Provide projects, operations and support with new functionalities, service improvements and automate manual processes.
- Act as the expert support in the global service delivery and perform knowledge transfer to relevant teams
- Develop new user interfaces with state-of-the-art web technologies and frameworks like Angular
- Follow external market trends and evaluate their impact on future IAM processes
- Be knowledgeable about security technologies and requirements to implement these in a convenient way that protects business assets and ensures user privacy
- Prepare and support audits as well as security assessments.
Requirements
Education
- Degree in Computer Science, informatics, business informatics or in a comparable field
Working Experience
- Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 related working experience
Technical & Professional Knowledge (Mandatory)
- Experience in design and implementation of scalable enterprise IT solutions
- Expert in requirements engineering and documentation
- Expert in object-oriented programming languages like VB.Net or C#
- Experience in software development projects based on the One Identity Manager of Quest
- Experience in database management or development based on Microsoft SQL
- Experience in web application development using Angular or a comparable framework
- Skills in business and technical consulting
- Ability to work independent, committed, and self-reliant.
- An excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to demonstrate fluent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
Technical & Professional Knowledge (Additional)
- Experience in interfaces with source or targets systems like like HR SAP, Active Directory or LDAP-server
- Experience in creating and consuming REST APIs
- Experience cloud technologies (Identity and Access Management Topics)
- Experience in the Identity and Access Management profession
- Experience in agile application development with SCRUM or Kanban
- Experience in agile tools like Confluence, Jira, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, GitHub
- Basic ITIL knowledge
