Job Description

: Collaborate with the regional SEO team and other cross-functional teams to implement SEO best practices for Shopee Malaysia. Continuously perform keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization to improve organic search rankings. Write long-form articles for Shopee Malaysia blog based on assigned topics from the SEO Content Specialist. Conduct keyword research using tools like Google Keyword Planner and other SEO tools to generate ideas for blog articles. Source relevant images and proofread articles before submitting them to the editor. Upload articles to the CMS (Wordpress) and optimize them for SEO before publishing. Write footer text for the Shopee Malaysia site when required. Conduct competitor analysis and monitoring to identify opportunities to close the gap between Shopee and competitors. Monitor SEO performance using key metrics and make data-driven recommendations. Develop and execute internal and external link-building strategies to enhance SEO performance. Collaborate with the SEO team to drive organic traffic through content creation and guiding content strategy. Suggest improvements to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to enhance SEO rankings for target keywords. Occasionally conduct interviews for articles and assist other departments with special project writing. Handle ad-hoc SEO duties as required. Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree preferred, with high proficiency in written and verbal English. 2-3 years of content writing experience for publications, along with a portfolio demonstrating previous work. Basic understanding of SEO and familiarity with SEO tool usage is advantageous. Hands-on and proven SEO experience of 2-3 years in an in-house or agency role. Sound knowledge of technical and content-related SEO best practices. Proficiency in using SEO and website analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tool, Screaming Frog, ahrefs.com, and Google Analytics. Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills. Project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal and cross-functional teams. Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Preferred experience in writing/content creation for SEO.
