Service Delivery Software Engineer(OSS)

Applies specialized knowledge to conceptualize, design, develop, unit-test, configure, and implement portions of new or enhanced (upgrades or conversions) business and technical software solutions through application of appropriate standard software development life cycle methodologies and processes. Interacts with the Client and project roles (e.g., Project Manager, Business Analyst, Data Engineer) as required, to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and organizational strategic direction. Defines scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned components. Understands and uses appropriate tools to analyze, identify, and resolve business and or technical problems. Applies metrics to monitor performance and measure key project parameters. Prepares system documentation. Conforms to security and quality standards. Stays current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.

Management Level Definition:

Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.

Responsibilities:

• Participates as a member of development team or teams; may lead a small development team.
• Designs units for others. Completes development to implement complex components.
• Contributes to design activities; may design solutions.
• Develops independently; participates in code reviews and may lead code reviews. May lead and provide mentoring and guidance to less senior developers.
• Designs, prepares and executes unit tests.
• Applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to maintain one or more technology areas (e.g. Web-site Development).
• Applies company and 3rd party technologies to software solutions of moderate complexity.
• Independently implements end-user or enterprise solutions complexity or services prepared by more senior technologists for more complex solutions.

Education and Experience Required:

• Typically a technical Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Master\'s degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• More than 6 years experience writing code using languages such as (and not limited to) COBOL, PL/1, Java, C, C++, C#, VB.Net.
• Ability to work with Web- development tools for new applications.
• Basic Understanding of RDBMS databases such SQL Server and Oracle. Basic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.
• Experience on one or more full release project life cycles.
• Strong understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management).
• Basic understanding of testing tools and unit and integration test scripting, and testing methodologies.
• Experience using an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio).
• Strong understanding basic Database Administration. Able to apply consistently quality and security standards.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Developing general project management/team leader skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and with client

Responsibilities:

• To maintain already-existing developed program by HPE China CoE from scratch with C,C++, etc
• The program is very critical for performance and complicated which designed for one of the huge mobile companies high capacity, performance and mission critical LDAP server(120M-Subs).
• When customer requested new feature or enhance, analyze the program and provide how to resolve and fix it.
• Participates as a member of development team.
• Completes development of units with designs prepared by more senior developers.
• Participates in code reviews. Prepares and executes unit tests.
• Applies growing technical knowledge to maintain a technology area (e.g. CI/CD).
• May perform unit design.
• Applies company and 3rd party technologies to software solutions of moderate complexity.
• Configures end-user or enterprise systems designed by more senior technologists.

Experience Required:

• Communicate & write in Japanese.
• Basic Understanding of LDAP protocol.
• 2 or more years\xe2\x80\x99 experience writing code using languages such as (and not limited to) C, C++11
• Understanding of testing tools and unit test scripting, and testing methodologies with gtest.
• Understanding methods of code maintenance with GitHub such as branch, pull-request, commit and merge)
• Understanding TCP/IP communication and multi-threads programing with C/C++ on RedHat Enterprise OS.
• Typically, a technical Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of related experience or a Master\'s degree and up to two years of experience

Knowledge and skills :

• Experience of CI/CD pipeline w/ Jenkins
• Experience of programing for mobile communication industry
• Experience of programing of LDAP server and/or client applications.
• If knowledge of HPE UIR as enterprise LDAP server SW product, better.
• Basic understanding Debug Programs on Remote Server using GDBServer
• Basic understanding Java, shell, Perl, etc.
• Basic Understanding of RDBMS databases such SQL Server and Oracle.
• Basic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies (e.g., OO).
• Basic understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management).
• Basic understanding of testing tools and unit test scripting, and testing methodologies. (Cucumber shUnit2)
• Experience using (or an understanding of the use of) an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio).
• Understanding of basic Database Administration.
• Understanding of quality and security standards. Good verbal and written communication skills.
