Tenbex Engineering Sdn. Bhd. (TESB) is an engineering company established in 2004 with offices and workshops across West and East Malaysia. TESB is licensed by PETRONAS as a service contractor/vendor for oil companies operating in Malaysia. With a team of experienced personnel from various oil and gas companies, TESB specializes in rotating equipment maintenance and aims to be the preferred business partner for O&G specialized maintenance and special product/material supply.

Service Engineer

in the Oil & Gas (O&G) industry plays a key role in ensuring that equipment, systems, and services are properly installed, maintained, and operated to meet the operational demands of O&G operations. Their responsibilities span from ensuring operational efficiency and safety to troubleshooting and managing the technical aspects of the equipment or machinery they support.

Here's an outline of the core responsibilities of a Service Engineer in O&G:

Installation and Commissioning

Equipment Installation

: Oversee and supervise the installation of complex machinery and systems (e.g., drilling equipment, pumps, compressors, etc.) at O&G sites (offshore rigs, pipelines, refineries).

System Commissioning

: Ensure that systems are properly commissioned, verified, and tested to meet specifications, operating parameters, and safety standards.

Initial Setup

: Set up control systems, monitoring devices, and automated machinery, ensuring they are integrated correctly with the overall operation.

Maintenance and Repair

Preventative Maintenance

: Perform regular checks, inspections, and servicing of equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. This may include calibration, cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn-out parts.

Corrective Maintenance

: Respond to equipment failures or breakdowns quickly, troubleshooting issues and repairing or replacing parts to minimize downtime.

Scheduled Maintenance

: Adhere to manufacturers' recommended maintenance schedules and ensure equipment operates within expected parameters to prolong its lifespan.

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics

Issue Identification

: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or software-related problems with machinery or equipment.

Fault Diagnosis

: Use diagnostic tools and software to determine the root cause of system malfunctions, mechanical failures, or performance issues.

Repair Plans

: Develop and implement repair plans to address system failures or deficiencies, ensuring that any fixes meet industry and safety standards.

Technical Support and Consultation

Client Support

: Provide technical support to clients (on-site or remotely), answering questions, solving problems, and providing expert advice on equipment operation and troubleshooting.

Consultation Services

: Advise clients and internal teams on equipment selection, upgrades, and best practices for maximizing performance and minimizing risks.

Training

: Train operators and field personnel on proper equipment operation, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures to reduce human error and improve operational efficiency.

Quality Control and Compliance

Ensure Compliance

: Ensure all work complies with local, national, and international safety standards and regulations, as well as company policies.

Quality Assurance

: Conduct quality assurance tests to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly after installation, maintenance, or repair.

Documentation

: Maintain accurate records of service activities, maintenance logs, and reports, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.

Qualifications

Male/Female 18 - 45 years old Degree in Engineering or related field Min. 2 year working experience Expertise in Microsoft Office especially in Microsoft Excel Can start work immediately

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
