We\'re looking for passionate engineer to be part of the global Customer Order Engineering (COE) team. This individual will provide technical support for upgrades on Large Gas Turbines (LGT) by performing thermodynamic calculations and evaluation incl documentation of them as well as COE support during implementation. This will at times include direct customer contact to help clarify technical points.

How You\'ll Make an Impact

Supporting COE thermodynamics team involves the evaluation of the GT/power plant power and efficiency during the conduction of gas turbine modernization projects as well as the support and clarification of operational issue. That Includes:

  • Thermodynamic calculations/evaluations of the GT based on operational data.
  • Performance testing on-site to proof power and/or efficiency after an upgrade.
  • In case of a full COE upgrade project - technical clarification of relevant engineering scope for the GT upgrade together with component and I&C engineers, as well as Neg-engineers and interface partner organizations.
  • Clarification might be based on given negotiation documentation and corresponding tools .
  • Coordinate technical details and content, time schedule and budget together with corresponding engineering partner for the GT I&C engineering as well as the I&C implementation side.
Specific Engineering output is:
  • Thermodynamic report and documentation for internal business partners and customer
  • Thermodynamic calculations incl. the description to explain the results.
  • In case of a fill COE upgrade project - basic solution (BSOLs) for project specific retrofit scope of relevant process engineering
  • Lead the technical clarification; responsible for the required clarifications/tasks/support and preparation e.g. corresponding BSOL list (GT process engineering).
  • Join the COE team consisting of Core, Thermo, AUX and I&C members.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor or Master\'s Degree in Mechanical, Process or Automation Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in gas turbine or equivalent field.
  • Good understanding on Gas Turbine and GT thermodynamic g.
  • Proficient in MS-Office, SAP, Teamcenter and PCM documentation. In best case also GT as well as combined cycle calculation methodologies.
  • Collaborate with team colleagues in multiple time zones.
  • Establish relationships and build networks in a globally distributed team, connect with the service engineering component groups, other engineering groups (BOP, I&C) and project management.
  • Excellent communication in verbal and written.
  • Travel may be required for execution of COE efforts. Estimated travel not expected to exceed 33% of the working time.
