Job Description

The Service Engineer will be required to perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, with a strong focus on Siemens PLC programming. The position requires both independent and collaborative work, ensuring compliance with safety standards and providing technical support to customers.

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical systems and components.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to determine the best approach for installations and repairs.
• Configure and program Siemens PLCs for system control and automation.
• Diagnose and rectify faults in Siemens PLC-controlled systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers on electrical systems and Siemens PLCs.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of service work and report any anomalies or potential issues.
• Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
• Provide training to customers and junior staff on electrical systems and Siemens PLC operations.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering and Siemens PLC technology.
• Assist in the development and improvement of maintenance procedures and protocols.

• Minimum 3 years\' of service experience in control engineering / industrial automation (e.g. conveyors) / maintenance of plant machinery
• Experience in computerised maintenance systems
• Experience in Siemens S7 PLC (both -300 and -1500 series) and SCADA
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and electronic faults
• Ability to perform mechanical-related tasks (e.g. dismantling, installing, calibration, lubrication of machine components)
• Great team player and ability to work equally well alone
• Results-driven and ability to make sound decisions independently
• Customer-focused
• Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
• Willing to travel nationwide and possess own car
