If you feel you can answer yes to above, Siemens Energy has an exciting opportunity for you as a Service Sales Application Consultant within our Malaysia/APAC team where you would become part of an extensive service network in Asia Pacific and worldwide.

How You\'ll Make an Impact

  • Proactively identify, drive, develop, strategize, negotiate, and close service portfolio opportunities.
  • Proactively drive the service portfolio and business strategy for each of the regional countries with the go to market teams through activities including preparing technical presentations, bidding proposals, and coordination of stakeholders.
  • Assigned and responsible to Asia Pacific specific countries as the Sales Application (SA) lead working in a Matrix organization in collaboration with the in-country Service team, GT Sales, Factories and other SE Business areas and execution units to close identified opportunities and to grow the sale pipeline.
  • Review Request for Quotations (RFQ) received from customers and develop and prepare technical and commercial offers with identification of key scope that highlights our OEM value including:
  • Responsible to lead the overall cost integration and analysis with consideration for technical and commercial risk assessment prior to arriving at final pricing (including inputs from previous win loss analysis).
  • Collating and preparing tender documentation including drawings, technical data sheets, bill of materials, method statements, project plans, QHSE documentation, time schedules etc.
  • Prepare outside purchase equipment RFQ(s) and work together with the regional supply chain manager(s) to engage and align for a compliant offer.
  • Interface with operations, engineering, and factories throughout the world to optimize our technical and commercial offerings and to resolve configurations and technical changes including prioritization of works as required.
  • Supports development of the proposal resource library (both text and visual aids) and provides input into business cases and go to market approaches.
  • Investigates and provides recommendations on ways to further localize scope to increase our value add and competitiveness and improve processes to grow the business.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years\' experience working for a major electrical contractor, with proven experience in technical sales and quotations/biddings for service-based related works.
  • At least 2-3 years of work experience in an engineering role or as a site / field service technical expert would be beneficial.
  • Experience and knowledge of High Voltage transmission industry in Malaysia and throughout Asia Pacific.
  • Positive attitude to work in challenging environment and in embracing high performance culture.
  • Team player and understands cultural differences and copes with them effectively.
  • Demonstrates ability to lead others and work independently.
  • Strong competence in using IT Tools including Microsoft, SAP, and Salesforce applications.
  • Professional English required, where additional Asian languages will be a benefit.
  • Willing to travel within Malaysia and the Asian region and from time to time to Europe.
