What\xe2\x80\x99s the role?

As Service Development Manager, you will develop new business with customers in specifically targeted sectors with Shell Technical Services. You will also apply strong technical & commercial capabilities to \xe2\x80\x9cvalue sell\xe2\x80\x9d to targeted customers and develop appropriate contacts at a senior commercial & technical level. Ensure Business growth targets are achieved as well as customer satisfaction.

Understand and keep track of changing customer needs and business environments to ensure the most appropriate service providers are assigned to fulfill the customer\xe2\x80\x99s needs.

Ensure necessary customer services are in place to support value selling, (eg use of Specialist distributors to provide appropriate delivery service, etc.).

Develop, update, and implement the Account Plan with KAM covering products, services packages, contracts, and prices for key customers and prospects

Plan, monitor, and achieve individual and team sales targets and be accountable for the growth of the targeted customers.

In-depth knowledge of the key competitors in the sector or services and understanding their strengths and weaknesses thereby exploiting opportunities arising from these.

improve Shell\xe2\x80\x99s competitive edge by providing Lube Expert Services predominantly in the quarrying, cement, metals, and power sectors.

Conduct static and dynamic inspections on equipment including Open Gear Inspections, Vibration, Thermography, and Video Check inspections.

Provide inspection reports to the customer to SES standards within agreed timelines

Troubleshoot and service centralized automatic lubrication systems

Work with other Shell teams and third parties (e.g. KAM, ICAM, Distributors, etc.) where necessary to provide efficient and value-adding services to the customer, in order to ensure that the customer receives appropriate services and Shell team and distributor teams grow from services income

Update information in the standard CRM systems (e.g. C - Force).

What do we need from you?

Have in-depth knowledge in commercial, and technical sectors and technical services; able to handle technical and commercial aspects of business development.

Degree in engineering, or comparable technical background skills

Experience in customer sector processes.

knowledge of applications & proven ability to troubleshoot and solve customer problems

Reliability Engineer experience with Project management and Sales marketing is a plus

With lubrication systems experience this includes fault diagnosis and installation of new systems.

Good English skill level and Mandarin proficiency will be an advantage.

Working knowledge of CRM tools.
