Job Description

Responsibility
1. To assist the immediate superior to ensure of plant occupational health and safety matters in the various working environment of various department and processes.
2. Promotion and educate the occupational health and safety practices for any individual in their working position and workplace.
3. Assess and identify environment, safety hazards to plant wide staff for correction and corrective action to prevent recurrence.
4. Maintenance and the compliance with legislative requirements related to Occupational, Safety, Health and Environmental.
5. Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, near miss and injuries. Report unsafe practices in workplace.
6. Train, educate and communicate with employees on environmental, safety, hazards issues and concern.
7. Assist to develop, reviewing and updating OSHA and Environmental issues and concerns of the plant.
8. Liaise with government agencies, DOE, DOSH, Bomba for safe working environment.
9. Monitor, initiate and maintenance of annual safety/fitness certification programme by DOE, DOSH, BOMBA etc.
10. Coordinate and handle emergency protocol and response to emergency situations like fire breakout, chemical spill or any other emergency situations.
11. Continuous monitoring and assessment of the work environment to detect any unsafe and hazardous conditions.
12. Monitoring of waste management and align practices in line with DOE legislative requirements.
13. To meet all quality management and SHE policies and regulations.
14. To ensure the control measures of the HIRAC and EIA are well implemented
15. To compile SHE statistic
16. To perform periodic safety inspection

Experience / Skill Requirement
1. Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in manufacturing industry or fresh graduate.
2. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
3. Strong passion for coaching and mentoring staff is a must
4. Be independent, highly motivated, with excellent team spirit and interpersonal skills
5. Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
6. Knowledge of Environmental and OSH related acts and regulations.
7. Age range 23 - 30 years old.
