Job Description

Project Location: FRI Pulau Sayak, Kedah

Contract Type: Government Project (JKR)

Reporting to: Project Manager / Superintending Officer (S.O.)

Main Responsibilities:

1.Site Supervision & Execution

-Oversee the day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.

-Manage and supervise all site personnel, including subcontractors and suppliers.

-Ensure proper deployment of manpower, materials, plant and machinery.

2.Coordination & Communication

-Coordinate with consultants (Architect, Engineer, QS, etc.) and client representatives on site matters.

-Act as the main liaison between the site team and office/project management team.

-Attend site meetings and assist in resolving technical and operational issues.

3.Progress Monitoring

-Ensure the works progress according to the approved work programme.

-Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports.

-Highlight any delays, site constraints or non-conformance issues to the Project Manager.

4.Quality Assurance

-Ensure all construction works are carried out with strict adherence to specifications and quality standards (JKR/consultant requirements).

-Conduct inspections and assist in the implementation of quality control procedures.

-Coordinate submission of shop drawings, samples, and method statements.

5.Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

-Enforce site safety rules and ensure compliance with the Safety & Health Plan (S-Plan).

-Work closely with the Safety & Health Officer (SHO) or Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) to maintain a safe working environment.

-Monitor proper use of PPE, housekeeping, and accident prevention on site.

6.Materials & Logistics Management

-Monitor timely delivery of materials and verify quantity and quality received.

-Coordinate site storage, usage, and proper handling of materials.

-Control wastage and ensure materials are used effectively.

7.Inspection & Handover

-Assist in preparing the site for inspections by S.O., consultants, and authorities.

-Follow up on rectification works and ensure proper handover of completed works.

-Assist in preparation and verification of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and final submission.

Minimum Requirements:

-Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Architecture or equivalent.

-At least 3-5 years experience as Site Agent / Site Engineer in building construction (preferably with JKR or government projects).

-Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

-Able to work full-time on-site in Pulau Sayak, Kedah.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
