Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our high performing delivery team for a 12-month fixed term.

You will have a genuine passion for building projects and want to build on your experience and develop further with Lendlease. This dynamic opportunity will be based on the Exchange TRX, Lendlease's largest integrated development in Asia.

The Site Engineer is responsible for the procurement and performance of subcontractor and vendor work packages in civil, structural, and architectural works.

Key Accountabilities

Make environment, health and safety my highest priority and always ensure it comes first in all business reviews and decisions.

Ensure that pre and post tender interviews are held to review not only cost and scope but detailed methodology. Engage with the Foreman, Site Manager, Senior Site Engineer as required to ensure an adequate understanding of methodology prior to awarding tenders.

Support the EHS Coordinator for the project by leveraging opportunities with subcontractors to ensure that all relevant documents are provided prior to commencement on site.

Identify and deliver relevant aspects of project sustainability objectives and targets in both Design and Construction as this relates to the packages administered and ensure that subcontractors are aware of these objectives and targets.

Monitor and review engineering activities, plans and equipment and maintain current knowledge of complex technical, policy and labour developments, recommending changes to ensure quality delivery of engineering projects, monitor work progress, proactively identifying and rectifying problems and/or non-conformances, escalating as appropriate and providing expert input and/or recommendations to ensure all issues are appropriately addressed in a prompt manner and risks are minimised.

Participate in construction planning, methodology and sequencing as applicable to support the construction programme and communicate this methodology within the programme and on staging diagrams.

Receive subcontractor progress claims from Site Administrator for review and assessment in accordance with the subcontract.

Review progress claim assessment with Commercial Manager or Construction Manager including agreeing actions.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline. May have experience and or/functional knowledge of Construction Industry. Written and verbal communication skills to maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
