We are looking for a qualified and experienced

Site Quantity Surveyor

to join our team in Perlis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and financial control of the construction project on-site, ensuring that the project is completed within the agreed budget and timeline.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for the construction project. Conduct site measurements and assessments to ensure accurate material and labor costing. Monitor and track project costs to ensure they remain within the agreed budget. Assist in the preparation of tenders, contracts, and other project documentation. Ensure that all materials, work quantities, and subcontractor works are accurately recorded and verified. Prepare and manage progress claims, variations, and final accounts with contractors and clients. Liaise with contractors, engineers, and the project management team to ensure proper costing and financial control throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct cost analysis and provide advice to the project manager regarding cost-saving opportunities and potential risks. Participate in site meetings and maintain accurate records of any financial decisions made. Review and process invoices and ensure compliance with agreed contract terms.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, with experience in construction projects.

Certifications:

CIDB Certification

(Essential). Registered with the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) or equivalent would be an advantage.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimating, and financial management in construction. Proficient in

Microsoft Excel

(advanced level) and

Microsoft Word

(for documentation and reporting). Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Good understanding of local construction laws and regulations.

Language:

Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both written and spoken).

Other Requirements:

Ability to travel and work on-site in Perlis. A proactive and professional approach to work. Valid driver's license.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
