Job Description

To ensure compliance with workplace safety and health regulations on site and promote a safe working environment in accordance with Yellow Book standards and other applicable safety laws and codes of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Safety Compliance

Monitor site activities to ensure they are conducted in compliance with all relevant safety legislation and standards (e.g., WSH Act, Yellow Book). Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe acts or conditions.

Risk Management

Assist in risk assessments and safe work procedures. Ensure control measures are implemented and followed by workers.

Incident Management

Investigate any safety-related incidents or near-misses. Prepare and submit incident reports with recommended corrective actions.

Training & Communication

Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings. Train workers on safe practices and emergency procedures.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain proper documentation including inspection records, permits to work, and safety reports. Report safety performance and compliance issues to the Safety Manager.

Emergency Preparedness

Ensure emergency equipment is in place and functional. Participate in emergency drills and assist in real-time emergency response.

Requirements:

Education:

Minimum Higher NITEC or Diploma in Engineering or related field.

Certifications:

Valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) certificate (Yellow Book Certified). Recognized safety training (e.g., Safety Orientation Course, Work-At-Height, etc.).

Experience:

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant site experience in construction or engineering projects.

Skills:

Good knowledge of occupational safety and health standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in report writing and MS Office.

Working Conditions:

Primarily site-based role. Exposure to construction environments and weather conditions. PPE must be worn at all times on site.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
