Smt Engineer
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and maintain SMT manufacturing processes
Set up, program, and debug SMT equipment (solder paste printer, pick-and-place, reflow oven, AOI, SPI)
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and production ramp-up
Analyze SMT defects (tombstoning, bridging, solder balls, insufficient solder, misalignment, etc.) and implement corrective actions
Optimize stencil design, solder paste selection, and reflow profiles
Monitor production yield, efficiency, and defect trends; drive continuous improvement
Create and maintain SMT process documentation, work instructions, and SOPs
Work closely with production, quality, and equipment teams
Support root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Ensure SMT processes comply with IPC standards and internal quality requirements
Train operators and technicians on SMT processes and best practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
2-5+ years of hands-on SMT engineering experience
Strong knowledge of SMT materials, components, and soldering processes
Experience with high-mix, high-volume or high-reliability SMT production
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
