The Role: Social Media Marketing Intern

You will report directly to the Marketing Lead and contribute significantly to our online presence across major platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation:

Assist in planning, drafting, and creating engaging content (captions, images, and short videos/Reels/TikToks) for platforms like

Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok

. Utilise design tools (like Canva or CapCut) for simple graphics and video editing. Support photo and video shoots for new products and promotional campaigns.

Platform Management:

Schedule and publish content according to our content calendar to maintain a consistent online voice. Monitor, listen, and actively engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages (DMs), and mentions in a professional and on-brand manner.

Trend & Market Research:

Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, features, and content formats (especially short-form video) to keep our brand fresh and relevant. Conduct basic research on competitor activities and audience preferences.

Performance Support:

Assist in tracking and compiling basic social media performance metrics (e.g., reach, engagement, follower growth) for weekly reports.
Qualifications & Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and enthusiastic individual ready to jump in and make an impact.

Essential

Education:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Digital Media, Business, or a related field.

Passion for Social Media:

An active user of platforms like Instagram and TikTok with a genuine interest in how businesses use them for branding and sales.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in

English and/or Bahasa Malaysia

Tools:

Basic to intermediate proficiency with content creation and editing tools (e.g.,

Canva, CapCut

, or similar).

Work Attitude:

A proactive, self-starter attitude, and a strong desire to learn and contribute in a team environment.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

Prior experience in managing a social media account (even personal or for a small group/club). Basic photography/videography skills for short-form content.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: RM400.00 - RM800.00 per month
