An exciting Software Development Engineer job has just become available at a multinational broadcasting company. About the Software Development Engineer Role:
You will be part of the software development team and participate in all phases of the software development project life cycle, including analysis, design, developing code, testing business software applications and project implementation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing maintenance support by investigating and rectifying reported systems shortcomings
  • Product/Features implementation, code review, govern coding practices
  • Execute engineering test before handing over to QA
  • Applying and optimising software development practices, including SDLC, development, testing and integration in Agile/Scrum environment
  • Provide information by collecting, analysing, and summarising development and performance issues
To succeed in this Software Development Engineer role, you will need to be a hands-on engineer with strong engineering and programming skills to take on new projects. Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Development experience with .Net Framework, C++, C#, WPF, MVVM
  • Fluency with Object Oriented Design, Data Structures and Design Patterns
  • Experience in communicating with other stakeholders to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates, and meet development deadlines
  • Tools: Visual Studio, MSSQL Server, NUnit Testing, SVN, Git
  • Experience debugging complex large-scale systems and applications on Windows platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for writing quality software
  • Great accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of software development
  • Ability to do reverse engineering/debugging on the product to understand about the product, without complete set of product requirement document
  • Analytical and strong problem-solving skills
  • Passionate for continuous learning and able to adapt to fast-changing technologies and environments
  • Readiness to take up sustaining jobs, proactive, motivated and have effective communication skills
  • Following experience is an advantage: TypeScript, Angular, HTML5, micro-services, Kubernetes, Docker containers, Cloud deployment, MongoDB, QT Framework, REST, WCF, Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) design, IIS
