About the Role

We are hiring a passionate and detail-oriented

Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

to join our client's Technology team. In this role, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software systems; including blockchain-based and distributed applications.

You will play a critical part in maintaining product excellence through test planning, automation, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, self-driven, and thrives in an environment that values craftsmanship, curiosity, and disciplined engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, cases, and scripts across software and blockchain environments. Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution and verification. Collaborate with Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps teams for seamless product releases. Participate in code reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen QA standards. Research and implement advanced QA methodologies, automation frameworks, and blockchain testing tools. Perform functional, performance, security, and integration testing across traditional and decentralized systems. Manage assigned tasks independently, demonstrating sound judgment and problem-solving capability. Document testing results, insights, and recommendations to enhance release quality. Contribute positively to a reflective, ethical, and intellectually engaging team culture.

Core Technical Skills Required

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA frameworks, and test design principles. Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g.,

Python, JavaScript, or Shell scripting

). Familiarity with blockchain technology, smart contracts, or decentralized applications (preferred). Knowledge of continuous integration tools (

Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, TeamCity

) and issue tracking systems (

JIRA, TestRail

). Exposure to API testing, performance testing, and security validation. Understanding of DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) principles and reusable automation patterns.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree

in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience). Minimum

3-5 years' experience

in software quality assurance and test automation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities across multidisciplinary teams. Proven ability to work independently with initiative and accountability. Commitment to ethical practices, quality, and continuous improvement. Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
