Position Overview: The Azure & AWS Data Management Solution Architect is a pivotal role responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive data management solutions across both the Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platforms. This position requires a deep understanding of both cloud ecosystems and expertise in architecting data solutions that leverage services from both providers. The architect will collaborate with stakeholders, analyze requirements, and design solutions that optimize data storage, processing, analysis, and reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design:

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for multi-cloud data management solutions.

Design end-to-end data solutions that span both Azure and AWS environments, considering business needs, scalability, security, and performance.

Multi-Cloud Expertise:

Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Azure and AWS services related to data storage, data processing, analytics, and hybrid cloud scenarios.

Select and integrate appropriate services from both clouds to build seamless and efficient data pipelines.

Data Integration and ETL:

Develop robust data integration processes and ETL pipelines that extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target cloud-based data repositories.

Ensure data movement across clouds is reliable, scalable, and compliant with data governance standards.

Data Governance and Security:

Implement data governance strategies across both clouds to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Design and enforce robust security measures, including encryption, access controls, and identity management, to protect sensitive data.

Performance Optimization:

Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize data processing workflows, queries, and resource utilization for enhanced performance across multi-cloud environments.

Implement monitoring and tuning strategies to maintain optimal system performance.

Cost Management:

Leverage knowledge of Azure and AWS pricing models and services to design cost-effective solutions that minimize operational expenses while meeting business needs.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to ensure successful solution design and deployment.

Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Innovation and Learning:

Stay updated on the latest developments in Azure and AWS services, cloud architecture patterns, and emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation in data management solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a solution architect or similar role, with a strong emphasis on designing multi-cloud data management solutions using both Azure and AWS platforms.
• Expertise in designing hybrid cloud architectures and implementing data solutions that span multiple cloud environments.
• Proficiency in data integration, ETL processes, data modeling, and multi-cloud deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with data governance, compliance standards, and security practices across Azure and AWS.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc., are highly desirable.
