We are seeking an experienced, driven Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations. This role is key to maintaining high culinary standards, team leadership, and smooth service delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and execution of daily kitchen operations.
Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
Lead and supervise the kitchen brigade in the Head Chef's absence.
Maintain kitchen hygiene, safety, and compliance with health regulations.
Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control effectively.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
Support menu development and seasonal changes.
Address operational challenges calmly and efficiently.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen management.
Ability to lead, motivate and work well under pressure.
Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
Commitment to quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications.
Working Hours
Full-time, flexible hours including weekends and public holidays as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
