Job Description


Role Responsibilities

  • We are looking for Data Engineers who will be building and automating high quality data pipelines that power advanced analytics and key business applications
Responsibilities
  • Leverage data wrangling techniques to deliver data pipelines that Ingest and integrate data from various information sources and deliver high quality data products that drive analytics and data science applications
  • Work closely with members of analytics and data sciences teams in the design, development and implementation.
  • Extract data from different sources and consolidate them in Dataiku.
  • Works on Dataiku platform installation, configuration and optimization.
  • Manage R/Python Recipes via Dataiku/RapidMiner.
  • Conduct basic data profiling and quality checks
  • Fine tune performance on datasets for visualization and other applications
  • Develop automated and self-monitoring data pipelines including automated QA/QC processes
  • Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
  • Develop processes, techniques, and tools to analyse and monitor platform performance
  • Ensure data integrity through \xe2\x80\x93 data quality, validation, governance and transparency
  • Production deployment and model monitoring to ensure stable performance and adherence to standard.
  • Work with the data scientist in developing the model pipeline including feature engineering in Dataiku
  • Work with Front End developer in visualizing model output and connecting the Front-End tools with the relevant data.
  • Promote an environment of performance, collaboration and compliance, to ensure risks and issues are raised and blockages are resolved in a timeline manner.

  • Assist Product Manager and Line of work squads in shaping up the roadmap for deliverables eventually taking the complete ownership for Roadmap delivery.

  • Display confidence in interacting with the Senior stakeholders, Risk and the Operations teams

  • Translate data needs into programable queries. Plan and monitor the project deliveries.

  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders on design proposal.

  • Ensure that outcomes delivered, including necessary controls are fit for purpose.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in analytics engineering related area (Data Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline)
  • 6-9 years of work experience as analyst/analytics engineer for a diverse range of projects.
  • Strong hands-on skills in analytics engineering (e.g., Dataiku, Python, industrialized ETL software)
  • Experience working in a cloud-based analytics ecosystem.
  • Experience with working with various types of data (structured / unstructured)
  • Understanding of data ingestion, data warehousing, and data model concepts
  • Knowledge of relational and dimensional data structures, theories, and practices
  • Hands on experience working in Agile teams, processes, and practices
  • Highly self-motivated to deliver both independently and with strong team collaboration.
  • Ability to creatively take on new challenges and work outside comfort zone.
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and analytics techniques.
  • In-depth understanding of Statistics and Mathematics
  • Finance, Mortgages, Bank Deposit Products.
  • Excellent communications skills, confidence, and ability to work with an international team in a cross-cultural and geographically dispersed workplace.
  • Motivated, able to work independently, proactively, and efficiently in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Good problem solver and decision maker.
