Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The Specialist, Impact Office, is responsible to support the Director, Impact Office, to be the advocate for Taylor's Purpose Learning and Impact Labs, internally and externally, guided by the University's strategic plan. Managing the Impact Office, the Specialist is also responsible support the Director, Impact Office, to be an enabler and catalyser so that Impact Labs can make a positive impact on society, by working with various internal and external stakeholders. The intended outcome of this position is to enable Taylor's Purpose Learning and Impact Labs to achieve their objectives, impacting people, the planet and prosperity through education, research and advocacy.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Director in advocating for Purpose Learning and Impact Labs, internally and externally, to gain credibility, visibility and support
• Support the Director to advise the relevance of the latest development on industry expectations and student expectations with Purpose Learning and Impact Labs
• Support the Director to establish targeted partnerships between Taylor's and external organisations for education, research and advocacy purposes, strengthening the mutual benefits through sharing credibility, visibility, funding, expertise, facilities, networks and other resources
• Support the Director to facilitate the establishment of impact project partnerships between external partners and impact labs to maximise the mutual benefits and to create a greater impact on society
• Support the Director to benchmark and institutionalise good strategies and practices to advance the Purpose Learning and Impact Labs initiative
• Support the Director to facilitate and support the visibility creation of impact labs and living labs on campus with impact lab directors
• Support the Director to monitor, report and communicate the progress of Taylor's impact through impact labs internally and externally, including publishing an annual impact report and managing the various communication channels
• Be a resource centre for impact labs focusing on common and regular resources needed by the impact labs
• Support the Director to lead and institutionalise impact labs related projects by working with various stakeholders
• Carry out any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

MINIMUM ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in the area of business administration, marketing or mass communication. A master's degree is preferred.

RELATED EXPERIENCE

• At least five (5) years of related working experience

• Good knowledge of the industries for communication purposes
