Job Description

The Position:-

The SOC Analyst-Specialist will work as part of an ICT Security division. SOC Analyst is responsible for incident responders and network security monitoring analysts in a 24x7x365 Security Operations Center (SOC). Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to cyber/network security analysis, monitoring and incident response.

The Responsibilities of the Role :-

Comfortable working with SIEM tools and incident handling experience preferred. Support and coordinate response to complex cyber-attacks that threaten assets, intellectual property, networks and computer systems. IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection System/Intrusion Prevention System) monitoring. Analyze and respond to security threats from Firewall (FW), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Antivirus (AV), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and other security threat data sources. Utilize analytics to identify potential threats to the environment. Practical experience with TCP/IP networking. Experience with Linux, Windows, iOS, and Network Operating Systems. Knowledge of information technology (IT) security principles and methods (e.g., firewalls, demilitarized zones, encryption). Knowledge of current threats, vulnerabilities, and recent cyber-attacks and Critical thinking and analytical skills. Familiar with SOC related reports. Any other task(s) as required by management.

The Requirements for the Role:-

Degree/Diploma in computer science from a recognized university/institute. At least two years industry experience in configuring, managing and troubleshooting. Preferably with experience in a SOC environment as well as ICT security or network certifications. Demonstrates effective teamwork towards fostering constructive working relationships within intra and cross functional teams. Proficient in MS Office applications. Possess initiative, able to work independently and as a team. Dynamic, highly motivated and a result-oriented team player with good interpersonal skills
