Sr. Manager, Global Internal Audit

Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team and plan and execute projects and global internal audit activities with accountability for successful completion within scope of project deliverables.
  • Provide guidance to functional/business leaders in region on addressing emerging risks within region and applying external knowledge to risk mitigation strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for data analytics; where possible provide analytics/suggestions for improvements to business/management for continuous monitoring opportunities.
  • Provide consultative control and process guidance to management on finance/general change initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in in related field
  • Previous related experience Required or Public accounting experience (e.g., Big Four CPA firms preferred) Preferred
Additional Skills:
  • Proven successful project management and business partnership skills.
  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and financial systems.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.
  • Extensive knowledge of Internal Audit principles and processes while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
  • Experience with third-party risk assessment and audits, a plus.
  • Extensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
  • Ability to identify and communicate process automation efficiencies, experience in integrating data analytics with audit process a plus.
  • Extensive understanding of related aspects of financial processes and/or systems.
  • Demonstrated skillset to manage assigned team and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to represent leadership on sections of projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and finance team.
  • Ability to consult in project setting.
  • Ability to provide financial leadership to outsourcing partners on a task level.
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
