Job Description


POSITION SUMMARY :Basic functions include planning, scheduling, resource allocation, problem-solving, interviewing, staffing, and employee relations. Acts as a coach and facilitator to lead team members to achieve operational goals and objectives. Builds a shared responsibility work team through development of individual & team skills and competencies. Gets involved with special projects and with the development and delivery of new products and assemblies. Drives activities to improve production efficiency and quality.RESPONSIBILITIES : * Develops, communicates, and implements plans consistent with organizational and business unit goals. Includes expense and capital budgeting, resource planning, goal setting, and prioritizing and managing time.

  • Responsible and accountable for WIP reduction, control, and eliminate Aging Work Orders.
  • Execution and manage the Scrap reduction, and raising hands whenever there is any abnormality in the day to day, shift to shift production that may cause scrap to be generated.
  • Develops and leading for Productivity improvement, meeting year to year KPIs, and developing Productivity improvement projects, and initiatives.
  • Responsible and accountable for Day-To-Day Testing and Failure Analysis activities.
  • Establishes departmental yearly/monthly objectives and take initiative to lead production team to achieve the goals and objectives.
  • Responsible to manage and leading the respective AEMY team (Production, Testing and Failure analysis) group of DL and IDL (Enigneers and Technicians )to support for meeting multisite demand, on a daily, weekly, monthly, and on a quarterly basis.
  • given that AEMY Hybrid Lines are supplying China, Global Services, Fort Collins, and other sites, plus Penang day to day demand.
  • Leading Manufactuirng Process Engineering development actvitites by working very closely with Process Engineering Team, and Manufacturing Engineering Dept.
  • Responsible and accountable for maintaining a linear product rate on a daily, weekly, and monthly, by reviewing the demand with Planning Team, and smoothen, and linearize the production rate, avoiding ups and downs, and frequent fluctuation.
  • Creates an environment that stimulates new ideas, provides effective work direction and motivation, sets challenging work goals through personal growth, respect, trust, and empowerment of the individual.
  • Provides coaching, mentoring, employee development, and team-building to employees. Trains production supervisors, trainers and line leaders to improve their management skills.
  • Works cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Production Planning, Materials, Purchasing, and other key interfaces to review, analyze, and optimize new and existing product and processes.
  • Teams up with team members to improve products quality and On-Time-Delivery to meet customers\' requirements.
  • Improves production efficiency and reduce lead time from order placement to finish goods delivery.
  • Develops and implements structures that promote work team ownership of continuous improvement and corrective action processes.
  • Facilitates continuous improvement actions in production and engineering related areas.
  • Lead the team to drive Kaizen / QCC event.
  • Reinforces and maintains a safe working environment, people, and product safety.
  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies, and general duty of care
  • Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
  • Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat.
  • Works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Also works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Ability to collaborate and involve others in decision-making and problem solving.
  • Strong leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and to set priorities.
  • Well understanding of Lean Manufacturing
  • Good at motivation and team building.
  • Ability to apply specific, work-related information and observations, to promote, and to facilitate improvements to employees\' job performance.
  • Ability and initiative to identify, address, and resolve employee disciplinary issues.
  • Ability to present ideas in a clear and persuasive manner. Good command of presentation skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of the AE performance appraisal process, as well as familiarity with applicable rules and/or regulations governing the relationship between employee and employer.
EXPERIENCE :Essential :
  • Prefer 10+ years of experience in Electrical/Electronics Manufacturing and Operations Management.
  • Proven track record of successfully optimizing and improving back-end manufacturing processes using Lean Six Sigma and other quality improvement methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Power Semiconductors Manufaftuirng, 10K cleanroom operations and protocols.
  • Demonstrated expertise in back-end power semiconductor processes, including
  • 5mil, 10mil & 15mil Al wedge wire bonding.
  • Solder-paste printing and component placement. MCM automated component mounting.
  • SST vacuum reflow and other reflow technologies.
  • LID/ Shell attach and potting.
  • Conformal coating.
  • Working knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE) techniques.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
  • PC hardware and systems literacy.
  • Experience with a high mix/mixed volume part and product manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience in an Operations/Manufacturing/Repair environment required.
Desirable :
  • Experience in successfully managing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in SMT related assembly.

  • Washing/potting process
  • Familiar with SAP ERP.
  • Prefer self-directed work teams experience.
  • Knowledge of 6 Sigma management.
EDUCATION :Essential :
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
Desirable:
  • Master degree is preferred.
