The Industrial Engineer III will adopt as its goals profitability, effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and the continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESApply skills and experience with semiconductor manufacturing and equipment to technical and quality problems encountered in the product life cycle with special attention to new product introduction.Apply innovative approaches to understand and resolve problems with assembly functionality, component quality and reliability and in supplier quality systems.Apply findings to implement systematic and lasting improvements to product and processApply experience with industrial Quality Systems, Engineering Design & Documentation, Product Qualification, Change (EC) Processes and Problem-Solving to issues occurring in product and component life cyclesPerform Program/Project and Supplier Management roles with an emphasis on problem-solving analysis and improvements in manufacturing and test processes.Definition, review, and improvement of Supplier\xe2\x80\x99s Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA), Supplier\xe2\x80\x99s Quality Systems and Processes of Record (POR)Supplier Audit and follow-up actions8D methodologyDFT, Value stream mapping, and process improvementPFMEA and Control PlanInterfaces with manufacturing and design engineering in coordinating the release of new productsReviews new designs for manufacturability and makes recommendations to design engineering on manufacturability improvements (DFMA, Serviceability, Safety, Ergonomics, and Modularity)Determines time standards and makes recommendations for fixturing and process requirements of new product linesDevelops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequences and processes in the manufacturing of sub-assemblies and final assembliesWorks with outside suppliers on outsourcing activities.Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.May perform other duties and responsibilities as assignedJOB QUALIFICATIONSElectrical or Electronic Engineer with BS or MS professional engineering program with demonstrated aptitude;Over 5 years of related experienceElectro-mechanical assembly, methods of weldment, plastic assembly, plastic welding and flaring and substrate part fabrication, gas delivery systems assembly, test and quality assuranceCritical and creative thinking, qualitative and quantitative analysis methodsCommunication skills including written and verbal with emphasis on presentations to team members and stakeholdersIndustrial systems life cycle: Specification, Manufacture, Assembly, Test, Reliability, Systems Integration and Product SupportStructured problem-solving in Cross-Functional Teams (CFT)

  • Develop, motivate and challenge all team members to perform to their full potential, providing direct and timely feedback in formal and informal media.
  • Monitor and evaluate the level of involvement and success of the manufacturing Engineering activities and their impact on the continuous improvement of process yields and efficiencies. Provide the appropriate level of feedback, support and coaching.
  • Develop and optimize process flows and manufacturing assembly instructions.
  • Prepare and present DFM\\DFA analysis for products.
  • Define assembly process equipment, tools, qualification, and training requirements.
  • Participate in the design and application of customized assembly tools, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Develop rework process and debug instructions for assembly & test failures.
  • Participate in failure analysis, root causes determination and implementation of corrective actions,
  • Define and implement DOEs (Design of Experiments) and analyze test results.
  • Analyze FPY (First Pass Yield), recommend and implement solutions to improve FPY.
  • Prepare and present (internally and externally) technical reports for FPY analysis and improvements.
  • Analyze capacity of assembly equipment to meet product volume demands and forecasts.
  • Generate training plans, check lists, and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Collaborate with product engineers and test engineers to analyze failure mechanisms and root causes.
  • Provide inputs on creative ways to reduce costs by streamlining processes and systems.
  • Work closely together with other engineers and technicians across the organization to ensure stable production processes.
  • Identify best practices and drive adoption into manufacturing group to improve NPI and Volume production processes.
  • Documents experiments, results, and findings in PCBA manufacturing.
  • Investigate and develop new process technologies to reduce costs of production.
  • To plan and lead continuous improvement projects leading to improvement in assembly.
  • Actively drive and initiate Lean Improvement project related to System and Processes.
