POSITION DESCRIPTION:Main Objectives and Activities
Responsible to complete daily accounting activities \xe2\x80\x93 GL and FA modules, month end and year end closing processes, reporting, reconciliation and statutory compliance matters on a timely and accurate matter
Depending on portfolio allocated, assist in preparation of tax computation, GST/VAT submission and yearly tax submission. Also assist in liaison with external auditors, consultants and tax agents on financial accounting and tax issues
Responsible to complete other activities in General Accounting team including vendor/account/banking template creation, intercompany activities, expense report review process
Adhere to financial policies, procedures and related internal control policies
Adhere to systems, procedures and practices for the smooth running of the division and the company as a whole
Initiate development, implementation and improvement in work processes to increase work efficiency
Undertake any other tasks which may be assigned from time to time
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
A recognized accounting degree from university/ completed a professional qualification in ACCA, CIMA or CPA
Maximum of 2 years working experience in similar capacity. Fresh grad are welcome.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with high proficiency in English
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality
Result-oriented, self-motivated and a team player who will be working in a challenging environment
Available to work shift and shift support during public holidays
Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with colleagues in both Finance and Operations in a number of geographical locations around the world
Must be able to work independently
Self-motivated with positive mind-set and looking for continuous improvement in the department
Good time management skills and ability to set and adjust priorities in a fast pace, quick changing environment
Display courtesy and sensitivity when liaising with customers and managing difficult customers
