Summary of Role:
In this role, as a Staff Wet Process Engneer within Maxeon's solar cell R&D Cell Technology Development (CTD) team, Engineer will use sound and proven engineering principles to assist in developing processes and process requirements from internal and external stakeholders and that is pushing the limits of Wet Etching/Texturing processing, equipment and metrology for current and next-generation solar cell technologies. This engineer will have a significant role in guiding and contributing to technology roadmaps, in addition to your responsibilities for process development and optimization addressing some key technical issues during the development phase prior full transfer to high volume manufacturing (HVM).
This position will lead efforts to understand current and future needs of Cell Fab Manufacturing, explore and evaluate new technologies and concepts for meeting those needs, and rapidly demonstrate feasibility of such technologies through rigorous modeling, analysis, experimentation and other risk identification and mitigation activities.
The position will transfer and work on process development/scale up or new products from R&D. Involvement may begin from feasibility at R&D team then deploy to full scale manufacturing.
