Job Scope - Stewarding Department



Position:

Steward / Kitchen Steward / Stewarding Attendant

Department:

Kitchen / Stewarding

Reports To:

Chief Steward / Executive Chef

Main Responsibilities:



Clean and sanitize all kitchen utensils, equipment, dishes, and glassware. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and storage areas. Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal according to hotel standards. Assist chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring clean plates, utensils, and cookware are available at all times. Arrange and store clean kitchen tools and tableware in designated areas. Help in setting up dishwashing and pot-washing stations before service. Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced, hot, and wet environment. Good teamwork and communication skills. Previous hotel or restaurant experience is an advantage.
