The Store Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities within the manufacturing store, including the receipt, storage, issuance, and control of raw materials, spare parts, tools, and finished products. The role ensures accurate inventory management, efficient material flow to production lines, and full compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory & Material Management:
Supervise daily store operations including receiving, storing, issuing, and dispatching materials and finished goods.
Maintain accurate stock records in
AutoCount system
and ensure timely data entry for all material transactions.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing and production departments for timely replenishment.
Implement and maintain
FIFO (First-In-First-Out)
and
FEFO (First-Expired-First-Out)
inventory control systems.
Conduct regular cycle counts and full stock audits to ensure data accuracy.
Prevent material shortages, overstocking, and minimize inventory variances.
System & Documentation:
Manage all store documentation such as Goods Received Notes (GRN), Material Issue Notes, Return Slips, Delivery Orders and Monthly Inventory Report.
Generate stock movement and consumption reports from AutoCount for management review.
Coordinate with the finance and purchasing departments to reconcile inventory data.
Maintain traceability and proper labeling of materials and finished goods.
Team Supervision:
Supervise, guide, and evaluate storekeepers and material handlers to ensure efficient performance.
Plan and assign daily tasks to store staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Provide on-the-job training on material handling, safety, and system use.
Promote teamwork and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Coordination & Operations Support:
Liaise with production, quality control, and logistics departments to ensure smooth material flow.
Support production scheduling by ensuring timely material availability.
Coordinate outgoing shipments and finished goods storage in accordance with customer requirements.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce proper housekeeping, 5S practices, and safety regulations in the store area.
Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials (if applicable).
Comply with ISO, OSHA, and company safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum
5 years of experience
in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Hands-on experience with
AutoCount system
or other ERP/Inventory Management software.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, material control, and documentation processes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
