Inventory Management & Documentation:
Receive incoming shipments, meticulously checking for accuracy in quality, quantity, and specifications against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Record all inventory transactions (receipts, issuance, returns, adjustments) accurately, often using an inventory management system (WMS) or computer software.
Conduct regular physical stock checks and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and reconcile any discrepancies.
Label and track all inventory items to ensure easy identification and retrieval.
Storage and Organization:
Store materials in a proper, organized, and safe manner, adhering to storage rules and safety regulations.
Ensure materials, especially those with expiry dates (if applicable to some additives or glazes), follow the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method.
Prevent loss or damage of materials and products through appropriate storage and handling procedures.
Workplace Maintenance & Safety:
Maintain the store/warehouse in a clean, tidy, and safe condition, ensuring proper housekeeping at all times.
Adhere strictly to all company safety standards and health and safety regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on material handling equipment.
Coordination & Reporting:
Coordinate with the production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure a smooth flow of materials and timely dispatch of finished goods.
Report stock levels, potential shortages, or damaged inventory to supervisors or management promptly.
