Job Description

As a Strategic Accounts Manager (Private Hospital & General Practitioner), you are responsible for driving commercial objectives through innovative or scientific approach to educate/ collaborate with HCPs/HCOs/vendors on disease awareness and drive campaigns. You will be the liaison/point of contact between the Key Accounts and all business units. You are accountable for deployment of customized strategic approach to maximize business opportunity and drive business development initiatives, including those from joint business plans which leads to incremental and measurable growth of these accounts above the market. Develop professional and solid business relationships foundation with Key Account stakeholders. This will be done through acute stakeholder management, and robust SWOT analysis, for clear business purpose in each engagement.

Your responsibilities include, and not limited to below, with key roles:

  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with Key Accounts.
  • Stakeholders' analysis with strong profiling is required for each key account, which includes Key Decision Makers for implementation of strategic key account plans (Marketing, Procurement, Finance, Pharmacist, committee board). This requires a full understanding of Key Account's structure, and way of working of the key account.
  • Accountable to customized plan of actions for assigned Key Account based on account market Share, key accounts insights, stakeholder profiling, and SWOT analysis for focus and prioritization.
  • Implement key account business planning through SWOT analysis and stakeholder profiling to identify business opportunities, with plan of actions and joint business planning implementation for total GSK portfolio (pharma/vaccines), in-line with Business Unit strategy through organizational governance and compliance.
  • Negotiation skills and agility requirement is necessary to ensure compatibility during discussion with key stakeholders.
  • Prompt updates to customers, creation of business proposals and meeting deadlines for submissions when required.
  • Arrange relevant events and conferences including speaker engagement.
  • Understand the role for cross functional teams in order to work cohesively to ensure compliance and successful execution of events and other programs, which is in line with key account strategy.
  • 20% top accounts - focus to drive activities that will elevate demand generation, requiring travel where and when relevant. To meet requirement as per GSK expectation on number of activities executed per quarter.
  • Ensuring achievement of sales targets, local market targets, profitability, and market share and monitoring of inventory.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/ Marketing, or Pharmacist/Nurse with commercial background.
  • 2-3 years of Key Accounts Management experience in pharmaceutical industry
