Responsibilities
- Manage and provide oversight and direction to the purchasing team to ensure the team are performing effectively.
- Strategic planning for Department to achieve its annual objectives.
- Implement cost reduction program with suppliers, monitoring product and service quality/ on-time delivery performance by key suppliers.
- Drive sourcing strategy and execution that delivers a competitive advantage including implementation of the strategic supplier initiatives including supplier selection, development and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance
- Analyse supplier performance and evaluate in terms of delivery, quality and responsiveness. Review/ update Approved Supplier List.
- Identify and evaluate Sourcing opportunities. Develop negotiation and supplier with optimal quality, cost and delivery including monitor and analysing supplier performance for benchmarking and expenses optimization.
- Develop and maintain good relation with supplier and internal stake holders
- Developing suitable product plan proposal and price assortment strategy to delivers profit to the company
- Liaise with material planner team to forecast a balanced quantity of products/material to purchase
- Ensures sourcing strategies achieve cost competitiveness, cost reduction program and maximizing purchasing value
- Identify and develop strategic supply sources for the all commodities
- Work with Supplier, Engineering and other department to drive Lean initiates including just in time sourcing
- Manage the material function to meet the KPI
- To monitor on-time receiving of inventory
- Bachelor\'s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree or equivalent
- At least 6-8 years managerial procurement experience specializing in Commodity with Contract Manufacturing background
- Preferably exposure in Supply Chain / Inventory / Material & Warehouse Management
- Monday to Friday
