Job Description

• This role will be leading the procurement team, managing sourcing activities of direct & indirect materials, handling supplier audit and building good relationship with stakeholders.
• Report to General Manager

• Strategic planning for Department to achieve its annual objectives.
• Implement cost reduction program with suppliers, monitoring product and service quality/ on-time delivery performance by key suppliers.
• Drive sourcing strategy and execution that delivers a competitive advantage including implementation of the strategic supplier initiatives including supplier selection, development and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance
• Analyse supplier performance and evaluate in terms of delivery, quality and responsiveness.
• Review/ update Approved Supplier List.
• Identify and evaluate Sourcing opportunities.
• Develop negotiation and supplier with optimal quality, cost and delivery including monitor and analysing supplier performance for benchmarking and expenses optimization.
• Maintain purchase order and ensure on-time and accurate submission of orders to suppliers
• Developing suitable product plan proposal and price assortment strategy to delivers profit to the company
• Ensures sourcing strategies achieve cost competitiveness, cost reduction program and maximizing purchasing value
• Identify and develop strategic supply sources for the all commodities.
• Work with Supplier, Engineering and other department to drive Lean initiates including just in time sourcing
• Manage the material function to meet the KPI
• To monitor on-time receiving of inventory

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
• 5 to 8 years of purchasing experience, preferably from Electronics Manufacturing/Contract Manufacturer industry.
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices
• Hands-on experience with purchasing software
• Understanding of supply chain procedures
• Good analytical skills, with the ability to create cost analysis reports
• Good negotiation skills
• Mandarin speaking is an advantage due to the need to communicate with China stakeholders.
• This role can be working either in Pasir Gudang OR Gelang Patah.
