The role involves implementing community organizing and engagement efforts, building relationships within the community, and facilitating activities that promote personal growth and development.PRIMARY KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIESResident Living Program Development & Engagement

• Assist the manager to design and implement programs that promote the holistic development of students, including workshops and activities that enhance personal growth, social skills and academic skills.

• These activities should be modular and designed to achieve the program\'s outcomes effectively.

• Foster an environment that encourages learning, leadership, and community involvement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents to understand their concerns and provide basic counsel.
• Escalate major or critical cases related to student welfare to the Manager.

• Maintain effective communication channels with residents and parents by providing timely updates and prompt responses to inquiries.

• Train and support the Student Resident Council, helping them develop the structures and skills needed to operate effectively as a team (e.g., defining roles, decision-making processes, agenda setting, presentation skills).

• Coordinate and publicize events through digital media and other relevant communication channels (e.g., WhatsApp, notice boards).

• Facilitate residents\' access to information and encourage their participation in upcoming projects and community activities.

• Identify and address barriers to community engagement.

• Mobilize community members towards collective action and civic engagement in community-led, mission-focused projects and campaigns.

• Leverage external expertise and community initiatives aligned with the goals of the Resident Community Service\'s Team.

• Assist the Manager in preparing and managing the budget for student relations and events.

• Ensure all activities are executed within the allocated budget and comply with financial policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with team members to evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement and organizing efforts.
• Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks, including data and incentive tracking, record keeping, and communication.
• Implement satisfaction surveys and compile quantitative and qualitative reports to continuously improve services.

• Minimum 3 years of experience working with youth aged 16-25 in Malaysia
• Excellent English (written and oral), ability to converse in Malay and Mandarin is desirable
• Able to work independently, able to follow instructions and can adhere to deadlines
• Proficient with MS Office (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Team, One Drive and Powerpoint), PowerBi and Google Drive Apps
• Strong communication, networking, and listening skills
• Experience planning and facilitating meetings and community gatherings
• Experience developing youth engagement and community building
• Work effectively in an environment with diverse cultures, multiple perspectives, and competing needs
