Job Title Supervisor - Fund Accounting , Private Capital Services



What will you do?

• Support origination, review and updating of the team\xe2\x80\x99s day to day operating procedures (with review and control support from management), act as an escalation point for the Fund Accounting oversight team, and support the coaching and development of new and developing team members.
• Monitor the accurate and timely execution of agreed processes supporting the Fund Accounting functions across the range of Private Capital Services structures supported by the business.
• Review the work of other Fund Accounting administration team members in support of the \xe2\x80\x98maker checker\xe2\x80\x99 process and control functions.
• Deep understanding and exemplary execution of mandatory escalation processes in accordance with agreed procedures when required. Create and maintain detail and status of any issues/events.
• Execution of complex processes , tolerance checks and control functions and oversee and provide cover for the input of any required manual entries including in relation to cash and transaction reconciliation logs, transaction working papers, and other metrics and control data
• Coordinate responses to queries and incoming emails, develop and maintain good working relationships with other teams within RBC Investor & Treasury Services to support the success of the larger team. Ensure ongoing productivity by providing back-up relief for staff who are absent or on leave with flexibility to work various shifts of home location
• Ensure effective process controls and procedures are documented in comprehensive procedures and support the governance and control of the team through the application of professional awareness risk mind-set
• Ensure all audit and regulatory requirements must be clearly satisfied and key service level agreements met as evidenced through the timely and accurate completion of processes, and a deep understanding and exemplary execution of mandatory escalation processes in accordance with agreed procedures when required is essential.
• Adhere to all RBC Investor & Treasury Services Policies and Procedures at all times.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Experience in fund accounting and / or financial reporting and / or business administration with a focus on financial services and preferably fund structures.
• Relevant operational knowledge and experience (4+ years).
• Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to use initiative and excellent attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills and networking abilities with agents and internal departments and ability to work as part of a team to achieve collective goals.
• Good organisation skills, ability to prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines.
• Robust fund accounting and workflow management experience

Nice-to-have

• Audit/consulting background will be added advantage
• Accounting or business administration qualification desirable.
• Fund Accounting system knowledge desirable.
• Multifonds or equivalent applications.
• Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Job Summary RBC Investor & Treasury Services Private Capital Services is a third party fund servicing business delivering specialist corporate fund administration, fund accounting, transaction management and shareholder services to Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure Funds and other Private Capital Services Structures.

RBC Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones employing a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our \xe2\x80\x98centres of excellence\xe2\x80\x99 and to implement/leverage standardised processes globally.

The Supervisor, Fund Accounting, is responsible for supporting technical and relatively complex aspects of the day to day work of the team to assure the accurate and timely operation of agreed processes supporting the Fund Accounting functions across the range of Private Capital Services structures supported by the business, for reviewing the work of other fund accounting administration team members in support of the \xe2\x80\x98maker checker\xe2\x80\x99 process control function, and for the execution of complex transaction processes and control functions.

Supporting region : Luxembourg ( 3pm to 12am )
