Key Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ensure that all lifts and escalators meet safety standards in accordance with Malaysian safety regulation (such as JKKP) and IOI Mall Puchong\'s internal policies.
• Oversee emergency procedures and coordinate drills in collaboration with the Facilities Management team to ensure readiness in the event of equipment malfunction.
• Maintain records of inspection reports, safety tests and operational logs for auditing purposes.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all lifts and escalators to ensure continues operation, minimizing disruptions to mall visitors.
• Identify any potential operational issues and ensure they are addressed promptly through minor in-house repairs or by engaging contractors.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns or malfunctions of lifts and escalators, ensuring that any issues are resolved promptly to minimize inconvenience to the public.
• Assist in preparing the operational budget for lift and escalator maintenance, monitoring costs for repairs, spare parts and service contracts to ensure expenditures align with mall budget constraints.
• Ensure cost-effective procurement of spare parts and manage stock levels to prevent delay during breakdowns.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports on lift and escalator performance, breakdown incidents and maintenance activities to the Facilities Manager before proceed with payment process.
• Maintain detailed records of all service history, downtime incidents and contractor performance for future reference and audits.

Job Competence Profile:

• At least 3-5 year experience in lift and escalator maintenance with supervisory experience in a high-traffic environment such as shopping mall.
• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Lift and Escalator Technician Certification or any relevant safety and mechanical required under local Malaysian regulations.
• Excellent communication (Written & Oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability flexible and work analytically in a problem solving environment.
• Customers services oriented and good personal skill.
• Must display professionalism and confidence.
• Strong organizational, multi-tusking and time management skills.
