We are currently seeking a Supervisor, Transport to join DHL eCommerce Malaysia! The Supervisor, Transport will be responsible to manage, develop, and control transport service (line haul cost), with the objective of delivering the full range of Transportations services in order to achieve customer\xe2\x80\x99s targets and team success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Impact
- Oversee all line haul cost functions/operations.
- Establish the scheduling and allocation transportation route with impact on SLA and operation cost.
- Makes operations decisions and recommendations in order to achieve KPI\xe2\x80\x99s (Punctuality Arrival& Departure, and Peoples motivations etc.) and quality.
- Review operational costs and management for budgeting (Fuel, Man-hour), as well as to closely look after P/L for maximum cost effectiveness.
- Continually develop productivity and quality improvement, such as accidental reduction
- Plan and manage as preventive management (Accident) and to update and feedback at the time situation as well as to evaluated significant effect to KPI and cost control.
- To closely communicate and make negotiate with peer department (3rd party fleet, etc.) customer and stakeholders to meet operation success both SLA and cost effectiveness
- Complete all line haul deliveries as customer\xe2\x80\x99s requirements
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and key contractors and suppliers
- Compliance with SOP and system definition such as TMS and documentary process.
- Provide analysis and report on KPI and core activities as well as administrative support for the transportation issues to head of transport.
- Manage driver team to deliver quality & quantity transportation which are complied with company\xe2\x80\x99s rule, regulation
- Participate in workgroups and activities
- Operate own fleet under safety regulation and safety targets
- Coordinate and support ISO and/or Compliance with SOP manual
- Support to select, supervise and monitor transport subcontractors and suppliers
- Control and monitor all transportation activities to complete with customer\xe2\x80\x99s requirements
- Optimize fleet utilization with volume and situations.
- Manage which relating to safety working environments
- Make contingency plans and decisions to maintain uninterrupted service when needed.
- Demonstrated understanding of TMS and productivity standards. Understand basic flow and functionality
- Coaching and mentoring planner, leading hand, and staffs to deliver quantity and quality of transportation to customers which are complied with company\xe2\x80\x99s rule and regulation
- Identify training needs and opportunities to develop direct reports for higher effectively and provide them the tools needed for on-going success both soft skill and hard skill.
- As leadership to persuade transportation team achieve target with business thinking and make work together environment.
- Strictly manage and closely focus on safety procedure practice. Ability to manage teams and communicate effectively to team groups.
- Support team in providing the expertise and resources to achieve team objectives.
- 3-5 years operations experience, preferably within transportation or logistics industry
- Leadership through effective communication and ability to influence outcomes across multiple regional locations
- People management experience as a team leader or supervisor
- Have extensive technical knowledge and experience in the line haul or upcountry transport is preferred
- Ability to work independently, conscientiously and under pressure.
- Fair command of English and PC Literate
- Diploma in relevant discipline.
