Job Description

: The Supplier Development Manager is responsible to execute missions for the Airbus supply chain and quality teams by applying industrial expertise needed to drive development of suppliers in Asia Pacific region, with a particular focus on Malaysia and South East Asia.

Travel: 60% ( Within and Outside Malaysia). Responsible to execute missions & projects with the objective to improve suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 performances on Quality, Cost & Deliveries.
Missions/Projects objectives: \xef\x82\xb7
To improve quality level and reliability of suppliers. \xef\x82\xb7
To achieve top level delivery performances. \xef\x82\xb7
To secure Airbus ramp-up at supplier level, mitigate the capacity risks. \xef\x82\xb7
To improve significantly supplier\'s productivity & reduce global cost by deploying lean manufacturing techniques. \xef\x82\xb7
Contribute to Regional sourcing office priorities on Supplier identification & assessments. \xef\x82\xb7
To manage overall risks on supply chain quality and provide solution for mitigation. \xef\x82\xb7
To cascade Airbus supply chain quality requirement and coach the suppliers to ensure application of harmonized best practices. \xef\x82\xb7
To execute New product introduction, Transfer of work through APQP deployment and project management. \xef\x82\xb7
To execute industrial process control assessments at suppliers site Education: Bachelor degree in Technical ( Preferred) or Business Experience: More than 8 years industrial experience in Aeronautics, Space, Defence, Automotive and/or other relevant industries Shop floor operations, Manufacturing process knowledge, supply chain management, Lean, Six Sigma, Quality management, Quality problem solving, Project Management experiences are required. Certifications on above mentioned experiences are added advantage. Skills: Strong operational management skills, in particular on Supply Chain & Quality- incl. "Supply chain management/Lean/6 Sigma" .knowledge to efficiently manage supply chain related activities.

• Experience on Shop floor operations, manufacturing process, supply chain management, Lean, Six Sigma, Quality management, Quality problem solving, Project Management are required and associated certifications will be an added advantage.
• Leadership and coaching skills to guarantee supplier engagement and development.

• Communication and language skills enabling to act internationally and at all levels of the organizations.
