Supplier Quality Manager

Job description

This Electronics Multinational company in Johor Bahru is seeking a Supplier Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• IATF 16949 Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to the IATF 16949 Automotive standard across the supplier base.
• Supplier Quality Program: Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive supplier quality program to assess and monitor supplier performance.
• Supplier Audits: Conduct supplier audits to evaluate and verify compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Quality Improvement: Collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reliability.
• Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate and rate suppliers based on performance, quality, and delivery metrics. Implement supplier performance improvement plans as necessary.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier quality issues that could impact product quality, cost, or delivery schedules.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and production, to resolve supplier-related quality issues and drive quality improvements.
• Reporting: Prepare and present reports on supplier quality performance to management and stakeholders.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (Master\'s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in supplier quality management within the electronics industry, with a strong focus on automotive components.
• In-depth knowledge of the IATF 16949 Automotive standard and a proven track record of ensuring supplier compliance.
• Proven expertise in VDA 6.3 Process audits or a certification related to VDA 6.3 would be highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and implementing corrective actions.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in supplier quality.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
