We are looking for an experienced candidate to support our new lithium-ion battery production facility in Penang, Malaysia. What an exciting time to join us on a mission to power the technologies of the future.Job Responsibilities

• Assess and influence supplier strategy alongside the Supply Chain and Procurement teams to ensure required standards are in place
• Coordinate and conduct new cell supplier qualification, technical audits, follow-up visits and regular supplier assessment and ratings
• Provide evidence-based risk assessments for urgent issues and decisions.
• Ensure suppliers implement IQC, IPQC, and OQC in their production and their supplier sites
• Establish supplier KPI, goals, and periodical updates on Supplier Quality Scorecard
• Facilitate and assess cell supplier change management through change management process.
• Ensure suppliers meet design standards and have a robust Quality System in place, with rigorous controls for critical-to-quality items.
• Identify critical processes that affect the safety and reliability of the material, components and ensure there is effective surveillance of the key indicators to assure the quality.
• Investigate issues in production and implement corrective actions to minimize yield losses and risks of field failures due to supplier parts, incorporate lesson learned into future parts design and manufacturing.
• Coach and guide all underline reporting team including engineers, technicians and inspectors

Job Requirements

• Degree/Master\'s in science or engineering with a minimum of 5-7 years working experience in the battery, semiconductor or automotive industry.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo and relentlessly drive continuous improvement.
• Seasoned in quality management particularly in supplier management.
• Proficient in FMEAs, SPC, 8Ds, Sigma, Cost of Quality, Project Management, TQM etc.
• Sound knowledge in ISO9001/IATF16949/VDA6.3
